The likes of Rodri, Phil Foden and Mateo Kovacic should dominate possession and Haaland has the pace, movement and finishing ability to put Sevilla to the sword.
The Champions League winners have won nine of the last 10 Uefa Super Cup matches, including Real Madrid’s 2-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt last year.
City should also be able to cover a 1.5-goal handicap against Sevilla if they play close to their full potential on Wednesday.

Haaland could terrorise Sevilla’s lacklustre defence
Sevilla had the best defensive record in La Liga in the 2021/22 season – just 30 goals conceded in 38 games – which helped them secure a top-four finish.
They then sold Jules Koundé to Barcelona and Diego Carlos to Aston Villa last summer and their league form predictably nosedived.
