There are a host of international matches taking place over the weekend, headlined by England facing Ukraine on Saturday teatime hoping to continue their 100 per cent Euro 2024 qualifying record.
Meanwhile, Republic of Ireland have a tricky battle against Netherlands on Sunday, and are big outsiders to claim victory.

Leg 1: Switzerland to beat Kosovo
Kosovo have been a tough nut to crack in qualifying so far, drawing three of their four qualifiers.
The Stadiumi Fadil Vokrri in Pristina provides a hostile environment and Primoz Gliha’s side were able to hold Romania to a goalless draw in June. However, they might have their work cut out against superior opponents on Saturday (7.45pm, Viaplay Online).
Switzerland have established themselves as one of the strongest European nations over the past few years and they’re in a good position to win Group I following three wins and a draw thus far.
The only blot on the copybook was a 2-2 draw against Romania, although the fact is that they were cruising to a victory before a late double from the visitors.
Murat Yakin’s side should be able to carve out plenty of chances against their modest opponents here, with Zeki Amdouni having proven something of a revelation since breaking into the international team last year.
The 22-year-old has five goals in as many appearances and we might expect Burnley’s new signing to star here.
The Swiss are averaging three goals per match in qualifying and began with a 5-0 win in Belarus, while Kosovo have managed to score just three times in their four clashes.
They will be aiming to keep things tight and grind out a goalless draw or tight win, although quality should prevail on Saturday. For that reason we believe the 8/13 with Bet365 is solid value.
Leg 2: BTTS Yes Romania v Israel
Romania and Israel look set to tussle it out when it comes to finishing second behind Switzerland in Group I and bank their place in the Euro 2024 finals.
It’s the hosts who are a point better off going into this clash at the Arena Nationala in Bucharest on Saturday (7.45pm, Viaplay Xtra), with both sides likely to play on the front foot in search of a win.
The hosts are unbeaten in qualifying so far, recording two wins and two draws.
They showed plenty of fight to produce a late comeback to clinch an unlikely point in Switzerland. Valentin Mihaila scored a late brace and we anticipate that the Romanians should find the net in front of their own supporters.
After all, Israel are not defensively robust, conceding six times in four qualifying matches so far.
However, three of their four clashes have seen both teams to score land, with Alon Hazan’s side kicking off with a 1-1 draw against Kosovo back in March, before a 2-1 win away to Belarus.
Manor Solomon has enjoyed a breakthrough year and we should expect him to pose problems for the Romanian defence, with BTTS Yes the best betting angle for a crunch encounter.
Leg 3: Denmark to beat Finland
The Danes were far from great at the 2022 World Cup, however we’re expecting them to prove too strong for their Scandinavian cousins on Sunday.
Kasper Hjulmand’s team head to the Helsinki Olympic Stadium on Sunday (5pm, Viaplay Sports 1) as warm favourites to clinch maximum points and strengthen their position in reaching the Euro 2024 finals.
We didn’t learn a great deal from a facile 4-0 win over San Marino on Thursday, although Denmark have more than enough quality in the ranks to get the job done this weekend.
In the reverse fixture, a Rasmus Hojlund hat-trick helped them achieve a 3-1 victory and the Manchester United man could prove the match winner again.
His club and international team-mate Christian Eriksen continues to be highly influential and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg remains a steady midfield influence despite being frozen out at Tottenham.
The Finns had a much tougher clash on Thursday when edging past Kazakhstan, but we’re happy to oppose them here against a superior Danish outfit.
Leg 4: Netherlands to beat Republic of Ireland
We’re going to side with Netherlands to get the job done at the Aviva Stadium on Sunday (7.45pm, Viaplay Sports 1), with Ronald Koeman’s side recovering from their 4-0 hammering away to France to record successive victories against Gibraltar and Greece.
Marten De Roon, Cody Gakpo and Wout Weghorst were all on the scoresheet on Thursday, with Ireland falling to a third defeat of the qualifying campaign on the same evening.
There was no disgrace losing 2-0 to a strong France team, although Stephen Kenny’s side now only have the faintest hope of making it to Germany.
Quite simply, there is a massive gulf in class between these two sides. Virgil van Dijk and Nathan Ake are two of the best central defenders in the Premier League and we should expect De Roon and Frenkie de Jong to orchestrate affairs in midfield.
