A host of stars gathers in Deauville, France this week for the 20th Festival of American Cinema. She will be reading from it at Waterstone's in Harrods, SW1 12.30pm and at The Almeida, N1 6pm tomorrow; Artist Glen Baxter talks about the world of boys and girls annuals of the 1930s-1950s as part of the Carry on Collecting exhibition at the Museum of London, EC2 6.30pm, 14 Sept
